Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 11, 2026

Last updated: October 11, 2026

OmniStorm Gaming LLC ("we" or "us") is a small game studio in Colorado, USA. This policy explains what personal information we handle through our website, games, email, purchases, beta tests and social media pages, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • Our games have no accounts, ads or analytics of their own, and they don't send your saves or play data to us.
  • We get personal information only when you email us, buy or contribute through a store or PayPal, join a beta test or use our social media pages, plus visit information from our website host and store reports.
  • We don't sell your information or use it for targeted advertising.
  • The Legends of Christmas is made for families. We don't ask children to send us personal information; parents, please contact us yourselves. If we learn a child under 13 has emailed us, we normally reply at most once and then delete the emails (section 9).
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information (section 13).

1. Who we are

OmniStorm Gaming LLC is responsible for your information (the "controller" under European data protection law).

OmniStorm Gaming LLC · PO Box 453, Woodland Park, CO 80866, United States · Email: support@omnistormgaming.com

Email is the best way to reach us for support and privacy questions.

2. Information you give us

When you email us, we receive your address, message and attachments and use them to help you. You don't need to give us contact details to play, but we need a way to reach you if you want a reply. Please don't send passwords, payment details, sensitive documents, private game files or details that identify a child. For a privacy request, we may ask for information to find your records and confirm your identity or authority. We have no contact form, and contacting us for support never signs you up for marketing. Section 4 explains emails about our games.

3. Our website

Framer B.V. hosts our website. When you visit, Framer receives your IP address, browser and device details, the pages you request and, where available, the page that sent you, to deliver and protect the site. Its cookieless statistics show us visits as a whole, not who you are. We use no advertising cookies. Your browser's session storage remembers whether you have seen the logo animation and, on a mature game's page, whether you passed its age check. The date of birth you enter there is never stored or sent.

Our YouTube videos load only after you press play. Even in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, playing one sends Google your IP address, device information and viewing activity, and YouTube may read or store information on your device. This site uses YouTube API Services, and Google's Privacy Policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Links to other sites lead to services with their own practices.

Our website doesn't change how it works when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request not to sell or share your personal information. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, so that is already true for every visitor. If that ever changes, we will honor GPC and similar opt-out signals as the law requires.

4. Purchases, contributions and stores

  • PayPal may give us your name, email address, amount, date, transaction ID, any note and sometimes your address or phone number, but never full card or bank numbers.
  • itch.io may give us your contact details, IP address or country, and purchase records.
  • Steam, Apple and other stores give us sales reports and, depending on the service and your settings, transaction, performance or diagnostic reports.

We use these records for transaction support, refunds, fraud prevention, accounting, product notices and the emails about our games described below, never for anyone else's advertising. Each provider's own policy also applies:

  • https://itch.io/docs/legal/privacy-policy
  • https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/
  • https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/

We send emails about our own games and products only to people who agreed to receive them, or where both the law and the platform you bought or contributed through allow it. Every marketing email includes an easy way to unsubscribe, and you can also opt out by emailing us. Unsubscribing stops marketing, not replies to your messages or necessary transaction emails, and we keep only what we need to honor your choice and meet legal duties. Our marketing emails are meant for adults: we don't knowingly send them to children, and we remove anyone we learn is a child.

5. The Legends of Christmas

The Legends of Christmas is designed for families. It works offline with no online account, ads or analytics. Each reader writes a name in the book, either a nickname or their own, and chooses a character. These stay on your device, along with books, progress, creations, settings and local recovery copies of saves. The game sends none of this to us. It has no file import, export or sharing, and we offer no cloud sync or save-retrieval service.

If the game stops unexpectedly or cannot open, it keeps the latest problem code and its date on your device. The code identifies the game build, the kind of problem, the story scene and, where available, a location in the game’s code. It does not include names, book IDs, book contents, error messages or stack traces. The game does not send the code to us. A parent or adult player can find it in the game menu and may choose to include it when contacting us. We handle that correspondence as described in this policy.

Deleting a book on the bookshelf removes that book, but not necessarily its recovery copies. Deleting the app and its data removes its local game storage; offloading can preserve it. Device backups, such as iCloud, may hold copies and can restore them. We cannot see or erase data that exists only on your device.

6. Die Hand Gottes (Steam)

Die Hand Gottes and its demo play offline and have no accounts, ads or analytics of their own. Journey names, progress, saves, recovery files, preferences, controller bindings and local diagnostics (which may include device details, errors or file paths) stay on your computer, and none of it is uploaded to us. The game keeps them in its own application-data profile (the demo's is Gottes-Demo). Uninstalling may leave that profile behind; deleting it removes local saves and settings. Backups are separate.

Steam handles your account, purchases, play activity and platform diagnostics under Valve's Privacy Policy. If Steam Cloud is enabled for the game and your account, Valve can store and sync the game's files. Menu links such as WEBSITE or WISHLIST open those services, whose own practices apply.

7. Beta testing (TestFlight)

During TestFlight testing, Apple automatically collects crash and usage information and shares it with us; this can't be turned off. It can include invitation and install status, sessions, crashes, app versions, device model and identifier, and language. Email invitations may show us your email address and name. Testers who join through a public link can still be identified by feedback, screenshots or emails they send, and Apple can link feedback to your Apple Account.

We use invitation and tester contact details only to run the beta. We use beta analytics and feedback only to improve our apps and related products, as Apple's terms allow. We also handle privacy requests and legal requirements for these records. If a provider helps us process or analyze this information, it does so only for us, with no other use and no onward disclosure. We don't pool beta analytics with other developers' data, or use them to identify people from anonymous information obtained outside TestFlight. These limits apply even where other sections of this policy would allow more. Testers must meet Apple's age rules, which require verified adults for apps mainly intended for children. Please keep children's details and private game data out of feedback.

We keep beta records only as long as needed, then delete or irreversibly anonymize them; Apple keeps its own. Stopping testing doesn't erase what was already sent. Apple's privacy requests: https://privacy.apple.com. Apple's TestFlight notice:

8. Social media

We have pages on Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Bluesky and YouTube, where we see your public interactions, messages you send us and the platforms' aggregate statistics. Each platform has its own privacy policy. Meta and TikTok share responsibility with us for page statistics:

  • https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/global/tiktok-analytics-joint-controller-addendum/en

You can contact us or the platform about these.

9. Children

Children may play The Legends of Christmas, but it sends us nothing about them (section 5). We don't ask children to send us information or files. Parents, please contact us with your own details and a short description of the problem, without identifying your child.

Children may visit our website, including our family game pages. The site collects nothing from them beyond what Framer needs to deliver, secure and count visits to it, such as IP addresses (section 3). Framer processes that only for us, under its data processing terms (section 10), and it is never used to contact anyone, build a profile or show ads.

When we learn that an inquiry comes from a child under 13 and handle it under COPPA's one-time-response exception, we use the child's contact information only to answer that inquiry once, or not at all. We do not use it for further contact or another purpose, or disclose it except to service providers acting for us within the same restrictions or where required by law. We promptly delete the information and correspondence after replying. If we decide not to reply, we delete them immediately after identifying the inquiry. This includes retained email copies, accessible trash and AI conversation histories within our control. We don't keep or use names, photos, voice recordings, saved books or other identifying material a child sends, unless the law requires us to keep it.

We use information an adult gives us about a child only to handle their request and meet legal requirements, and keep it only as long as needed. If we learn we hold a child's information that we may not lawfully keep, we promptly delete it. Parents can contact us (section 1) to review or delete their child's information or refuse further collection; we take reasonable steps to confirm you are the parent. Before we collect anything more from children online, we will give the notices and get the parental consent the law requires.

10. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with:

  • Framer B.V., for website hosting, security and statistics: https://www.framer.com/legal/data-processing-addendum
  • Google (Google Workspace): https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • other providers that help us send, manage and answer email
  • professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers
  • the payment, store, video and social media services described above

We use Google Workspace for email. We may use automated tools, including AI, to organize and summarize messages, prepare replies or send responses. These uses follow the purposes described in this policy and the additional limits for children's and TestFlight information.

Providers handling correspondence on our behalf process it under applicable service and data-protection terms. Google's covered Workspace services are governed by its Workspace agreement and Cloud Data Processing Addendum. The additional restrictions for children's and TestFlight information also apply when providers handle that information.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect rights or safety, at your request, or in a sale or transfer of our business, subject to our existing commitments and the law. TestFlight information keeps the stricter limits in section 7. We don't sell or rent personal information, use it for targeted advertising or give it to others for their own marketing. Independent services are responsible for their own processing; we are responsible for the information we use.

11. Why we use information, and our legal bases

We use personal information to run and protect our website; understand overall visits; provide support, including through AI-assisted tools and, where used, automated replies; handle purchases, contributions and necessary product notices; send emails about our games (section 4); run our social media pages and beta tests; improve our apps and related products; handle privacy requests; and meet legal obligations or handle legal claims.

Where EU or UK law applies, our legal bases are:

  • legitimate interests: running, securing, supporting and improving our services, and emails about our own games where consent isn't required, always balanced against your rights;
  • contract: purchases, steps you request before one, and support we owe you;
  • legal obligation: where EU or UK law requires the processing;
  • consent: where the law requires it, as it does for most marketing emails.

Elsewhere, we rely on a basis the law allows, such as legitimate interests. Sections 7 and 9 set narrower limits for beta and children's information. We make no decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

12. How long we keep information

  • Support emails: while needed to handle the request, then only limited records needed for warranty or refund duties, disputes, claim periods or legal holds. Children's messages follow section 9.
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or we stop sending; after that, only what we need to honor your choice and meet legal duties.
  • Payment and accounting records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Privacy requests: until complete, including any appeal, plus records the law requires or related claims need.
  • Social media messages: while needed for the conversation; platforms keep their own records.
  • Website hosting and security data: as long as needed to run and protect the site and meet legal requirements, under Framer's terms.
  • Beta information: see section 7. Game data on your device stays until you delete it or the game replaces it.

After that, we delete or irreversibly anonymize information where the law allows, including from accessible trash. Providers may keep limited legal, security or backup copies for a time. We never restore deleted data for new uses.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to confirm whether we hold your information, give you access or a copy, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its use (including opting out), provide it in a portable format, or tell you who we share it with. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful use, and you can always object to direct marketing. If you object to use based on legitimate interests, we stop unless the law allows compelling grounds or we need the information for legal claims. We won't penalize you for using your privacy rights.

To make a request, email or write to us (section 1). No special subject line is needed, and we accept other methods where the law requires. We may ask you to confirm your identity or authority. We respond within legal deadlines, explain any extension, refusal or exception, and charge only where the law allows. If you can appeal, reply to our response; where required, we will explain how to complain to a regulator or attorney general.

  • EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: we normally answer within one month (30 days for Swiss access requests). You can complain to your data protection authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner's Office or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
  • Canada: we normally answer access requests within 30 days; provincial rights may also apply (https://www.priv.gc.ca).
  • Brazil: your LGPD rights include anonymization or blocking where available. We answer simple requests immediately where required and full requests generally within 15 days, subject to legal exceptions (https://www.gov.br/anpd).
  • United States: depending on your state, you may have access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out and appeal rights. California residents may ask us to review and correct information they gave us. Nevada residents may email us to opt out of sales, though we don't sell personal information.

You can also complain to us directly. Where UK law applies, we acknowledge complaints within 30 days, look into them and tell you the outcome without undue delay.

14. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in other countries. Framer's transfer terms are in its data processing terms (section 10); Google's are at https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks. For transfers we control, we use the safeguards the law requires; contact us for details.

15. Security

We use reasonable safeguards and limit access to what is needed, but no system is completely secure. We will tell you about incidents as the law requires. Please don't send sensitive information by ordinary email.

16. Changes to this policy

We publish updates here with a new date. Before we collect new kinds of information or use information in materially different ways, for example in an online game, we will describe what we do here or in a notice for that game, and give extra notice or ask for consent, including parental consent, where the law requires.
